C omputersi first got into computers ten years ago, when i was nine. my very first computer was a generic 286 . i didn't know shit about them when my parents bought it. I didn't know what hardware was, I didn't know what software was. I learned about them from a few books, and from a friend of the family. unlike the present, not everyone had a computer in 1992. due to my illness (read my bio), the computer soon turned into my biggest form of entertainment. for the first two years i owned a computer, i did nothing but play wolfenstein, doom, doom2, simcity, simfarm, simant, simcity 2k, and every other game i could get my hands on. it wasn't until spring of 1998 that i got a true internet connection. i had fucked around with aol, but in those days, online services were too expensive to really get alot of use out of them. i got an internet connection so I could write a report about it for school. through the internet, I was able to find a whole new world of opportunity. it also provided many new and fun ways to communicate. this was around the time that i started working on The Ultimate Script. after that, my computer knowledge just began to grow at an exponential rate. the internet provided me a constantly updated resource of information about computers, hardware, and programming. i could probably write a book on how I learned everything that I learned, so I'm not going to say a whole lot more. what I can say though, is that hands on experience is worth more than any book or course. I learned more interning for a month with my friends than i did in three years of fucking around on my own. if you are young and get an opportunity like that, go for it. M y Box(s)what kind of geek would I be if I didn't put down information about my computer on my web page ? not a very good one if you ask me :) well, here are the current specs. also, it is currently running windows2k and XP.
